Starting in November 2023, we've created Wedding Collections that now include the entire Wedding day from start to finish, without an hourly limit, to make sure there's plenty of coverage and no stress. After over 200 Weddings, we've seen too many couples try to cram what should be 10 to 12 hours into 8 or even 6 hours, and it just doesn't work. We want our couples to ENJOY their day, so we can capture that authentic joy - and that's what we want you to be able to remember, not how stressful everything was.

With these new Collections, we'll start 1-2 hours before hair & make-up is finished and stay through 2 hours of open dancing and/or the Couple's send-off.

Yes. We'll help you create the perfect timeline and shot list that includes enough time for everything that you want to do and have captured, from hair & make-up all the way to the send-off.

Our complimentary Engagement Sessions are adventurous and fun, with the option for multiple locations / outfits and up to 2 hours of shooting time (plus travel time and changing time, if needed).

We're based in Pollock Pines, California, halfway between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe.

We travel all over Northern California, up to 400 miles round-trip, with NO travel fees for weddings or complimentary engagement sessions.

Beyond 400 miles round-trip, or for additional sessions or events, our travel fee is the California rate of $0.655 per mile round-trip, calculated from our Pollock Pines home studio, per additional session or event. We do also ask for lodging to be provided for weddings, sessions & events that are beyond 400 miles round-trip.

For Weddings or Sessions within national parks, such as Yosemite, we do ask our Clients to provide our ticket for entry or to provide transportation into / out of the park.

During shooting, we take a candid & photo-journalistic as well as an artistic & lifestyle approach, providing you with plenty of guidance so we can capture breathtaking images while also capturing your real, emotional, intimate & romantic moments, as authentically as possible. When you look back on your images and films, you'll not only see beautiful imagery to print and hang, but you'll also be able to re-live your real memories with each other and your loved ones.

Your images are uploaded to a shareable online gallery with unlimited high resolution downloads and no watermarks. Clients may share their gallery with guests as well as mark any images as private that they want to keep to themselves. The gallery includes a vast print store that includes prints of every type, three types of albums, and save-the-dates & holiday cards. We offer frequent promotional discounts to help you get professional lab quality prints at reasonable prices. Clients and their guests are also welcome to purchase prints elsewhere, with no printing restrictions.

We offer both cinematic and documentary-style films. With Photo & Video Collections, your cinematic highlight film plays at the opening of your gallery, and all films are uploaded to your gallery and Vimeo for sharing and downloading in high resolution. You get to select the songs to be used in your film(s), to make your film(s) even more meaningful to you. Our cinematic films also include drone footage.

1. A cinematic Montage Video, without vows, speeches or voiceover: Up to 2 minutes, 3 to 5 minutes, or 6 to 8 minutes
2. A cinematic Trailer Film, with vows and some speeches: 3 to 5 minutes, 6 to 8 minutes, or 9 to 12 minutes
3. A cinematic Feature Film, with vows and more speeches: 13 to 15 minutes, 16 to 20 minutes, or 21 to 25 minutes
4. A full-length Documentary Film, including a cinematic intro of the getting ready & first looks, the full Ceremony, the full Speeches, the Special Dances, and a Reception party highlight, with no duration limit, averaging 1 hour
5. A Ceremony documentary film
6. A Reception documentary film
7. A Speeches documentary film
8. A Special Dances documentary film
9. A Unique Moment documentary film, highlighting a single moment of your choice: 40 to 60 seconds or 1 to 3 minutes
10. and a cinematic Social Reel Film, from 40 to 60 seconds, in 16x9 portrait format for sharing on social media.

All unedited, raw video footage is also provided complimentary for download via Google Drive.

We typically use a natural, true-to-color edit, but we also offer various editing styles to capture your specific vibe.

Yes. Once we deliver your film(s), you get 7 days to make one round of edit requests, complimentary. After receiving the 2nd edit, if you want the film edited further, a second round of edit requests is charged at $50, and you get 7 days from delivery to make your next round of edit requests, and so forth. You have 7 days from the date of delivery to make a round of edit requests, or the film will be final.

For video, we use 2 Canon R6 Mirrorless cameras and 1 Canon 5D Mark III camera on tripods, plus 1 Canon R6 Mirrorless camera handheld with IS lenses and/or with a gimbal; a lavalier mic (Zoom F2) during the Ceremony / vows; 2 additional audio recorders for Ceremony & toast speeches (Zoom F3 & Sony), 2 Godox lights on stands, on-camera lighting, on-camera Deity Pro shotgun mics, and a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone.

For photo, Rachel uses 2 Canon R6 cameras, with 2 on-camera EX-RT II speedlites for fill/bounce/diffused-by-MagMod lighting, as needed.

Our lenses include Canon RF 70-200 f/2.8L, Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L, Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8L, Canon RF 50 f/1.2L, three Canon 85 f/2 macro with IS, and two Canon 35 f/1.8 macro with IS.

Our assistant helps us with setting up / moving / taking down our equipment and "manning" our 2-3 tripod cameras during the Ceremony and Reception to make sure those additional angles are properly framed and focused. They also help with our timeline and shot list to ensure that everything is being captured and everything is running on time. Our assistant does also have photo & video experience, so we do often give them an additional camera to capture additional shots for us when needed. But, our assistant isn't a dedicated 2nd shooter (who brings their own equipment and shoots the entire time).

If you'd like to book, let us know, and we'll send custom link to book your collection and wedding date including a secure online contract and online payment options for the required $1,000 deposit (credit, debit or PayPal). Dates are not held without a deposit payment. Once paid, your date is reserved.

After booking, the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the wedding date. We can also work out a different payment plan if needed, if you'd like to split up your remaining balance into multiple payments.

After booking, we'll send you an engagement session booking link that includes an onboarding client questionnaire. If you aren't doing an engagement session, we'll send the questionnaire separately. After the engagement session, or a few months before the wedding date, we'll send a Wedding Questionnaire asking about what shots you want captured on the big day. It's important that you complete this questionnaire and get it back to us before you schedule your hair & make-up and floral delivery so we can create your master shot list and coverage timeline. You can also schedule a phone call with us to go over everything.

Yes.

Films can be upgraded up to 30 days before the Wedding date, when your package balance is due.

We capture everything in full, so films can be added up to 1 year after the Wedding date. If films are added prior to your package balance due date, we'll give you the discounted package rate for the film. After the Wedding date, additional films are charged at then-current à la carte rates.

A 2nd Photographer and/or a 2nd Videographer can be added up to 30 days prior to the Wedding date for $600 each.
